St. Germain Spritz

Starting off a list of springtime recipes with a few floral spritzers just feels right. The St. Germain Spritz is made with elderflowers, which provides a light and sweetly floral flavor perfect for this transitional time of year.

Recipe:

  • 2 ounces (4 tablespoons) St. Germain
  • 3 ounces (6 tablespoons) sparkling wine, such as Prosecco or champagne, chilled
  • 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) club soda
  • Lemon wedge, fresh thyme, lavender or rosemary for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

Add the two ounces of St. Germain to a glass filled with ice and slowly stir. Next, pour the sparkling wine and club soda into the mixture. Squeeze in a lemon wedge while stirring slowly. Squeeze in the lemon wedge and add the additional garnishes of fresh thyme, lavender, or rosemary.

Limoncello Spritz 

One of the best things about spritz recipes is that they are straightforward to make and delicious to taste. Try your own recreation of a Limoncello Spritz with these simple steps.

Recipe:

  • 60ml limoncello
  • 90ml sparkling wine
  • A splash of sparkling water
  • Springs of thyme for a garnish

Instructions:

Fill a wine glass with ice and pour in the limoncello and sparkling wine. Next, add a splash of sparkling water and gently stir the beverage while garnishing with the sprigs of thyme.

Sangria Blanca

Perhaps more flavorful than your typical batch of sangria, the Sangria Blanca’s touch of Licor43 adds a smooth hint of vanilla to this springtime cocktail. Fun, fresh and bubbly, it is recommended to add fresh fruit and peaches.

Recipe:

Makes eight servings

  • Ten green grapes, halved
  • Four fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • One peach, pitted and sliced
  • One bottle (750 milliliters) Cava (or dry sparkling wine)
  • 1 1/2 cups white grape juice
  • 1/2 cup Licor 43 (found at liquor stores)
  • Two sprigs of fresh mint

Instructions:

Fill half of a large glass pitcher with ice and add fruit. Next, tilt the pitcher slightly and slowly pour Cava very slowly down the side of the pitches to preserve the bubbles. Then, add juice and liquor while stirring gently. Finally, add the two sprigs of fresh mint.

 

Raspberry Lemonade Sangria

This sweetly marinated sangria is the perfect treat to share with friends and family as the temperature slowly settles into the warmer months.

Recipe:

Makes seven servings

  • 1 (750-milliliter) bottle moscato wine
  • 2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen
  • Two lemons, sliced
  • 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) lemonade
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 12 ounces (1 1/2 cups) lemon-lime soda
  • Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions:

First, mix the wine, fruit, lemons, lemonade and sugar in a large glass pitcher. You may wish to add ice to the pitcher or each glass when serving. Then, cover and place in the refrigerator overnight. Just before serving, add the lemon-lime soda into the mix and garnish with a lemon.

Upgrade your classic mojito to this Cuban citrussy springtime special. This cocktail adds a dash of orange juice to your favorite rum-based drink. 

Recipe:

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. Orange juice
  • ½ oz. simple syrup
  • 1 oz. soda water
  • Two lime slices
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • Orange slices and mint for garnish, if desired

Instructions:

Muddle together lime, mint leaves, and simple syrup in a cocktail glass. Next, add the orange slice to the glass. Then, fill the glass with ice and add the rum, orange juice, and soda water. Stir gently and garnish to your taste.

Raspberry Hibiscus Mojito

The Raspberry Hibiscus Mojito is yet another twist on the classic Cuban cocktail that everyone loves to sip on. Follow the directions below for a floral-inspired springtime refresher.

Recipe:

  • Five mint leaves
  • Three lime wedges
  • 1 ½ oz. light rum
  • Three raspberries
  • 3/4 oz. hibiscus syrup
  • 1/4 oz. raspberry syrup
  • 4 oz. club soda

Instructions:

In a shaker, muddle together the fruit, herbs, and syrups. Next, add the remaining ingredients to the mix, except for the club soda. Then, cap the shaker and shake intensely. Once finished, pour the mixture into a serving glass and add ice. Finally, finish the beverage off with the club soda and garnish to taste.
