Montecristo Rum is “agricultural rum” made from all natural, hand-harvested, pure sugarcane juice, not molasses.
It is remarkably smooth, the result of Montecristo’s unique aging process, which uses American oak bourbon barrels.
Montecristo Rum is a premium spirit obtained by distilling fermented sugarcane juice, a by-product of sugar. Montecristo Rum production begins with the harvesting of sugarcane. When harvesting time arrives, the stalks are cut close to the ground by hand with a sharp machete or with a cane-cutting machine. The leaves are removed in the fields and the stalks are transported to the distillery or sugar mill to be processed. The sugar-laden center pulps of the cane known as “bagasse” are crushed between rollers to extract the pure sugarcane juice.
Only the World's finest distillers masterfully blend and barrel age rum with pure sugarcane juice. This is the case with all Montecristo premium rums.

This sugar cane spirit is a blend of highly distilled sugar cane juice spirit from Brazil and aged rum from South America which gives the almost clear spirit a vanilla flavor in the initial taste and finish.
Light on the palate with a slightly sweet vanilla finish, Oronoco was designed to be a super premium white rum for premium cocktails.
Despite being made from sugar cane juice in Brazil, there are two important differences between Oronoco and cachaça.
First, Oronoco is distilled to more than the limit of 54% abv for cachaça. Second, it is a blend of rum made from molasses so under Brazilian law it must be classified as rum. It is bottled at 40% abv and labeled as rum in the US market.

Pyrat Rum Pistol 40% abv/80 proof is made in Anguila, British West Indies. Pyrat is made by the Patron Spirits Company who make the excellent Patron premium tequilas. Pistol is one of three aged rums they make. They also make Pyrat XO Reserve and their ultra premium, limited production. incredibly expensive Pyrat Cask. The Pistol is an excellent and very enjoyable, premium aged rum. While similar in flavor and with a lighter body that the Pyrat XO Reserve, the Pistol has its own unique taste and style. An absolutely great spirit brimming full of complex aromas and flavors.
The aroma is that of Buttery English Toffee strongly scented with apricots and oranges. The taste is tangy and smooth, with a hint of sweetness, a really big flavor that almost overwhelms your taste buds. In taste it is similar to the aroma but with dried apricots and orange zest riding on top of the mild, buttery toffee flavor. Complex and very enjoyable. This is a sipping rum, preferably in a brandy snifter so you can savor its aroma as well as taste, but it works quite well on the rocks. The added water brings out nuances in the fruit but does cloud the tangy zip a little. I have been having small sips of this as an after dinner treat, and just a wee bit is the perfect end to a long day.

3/4 oz. Whaler's Original Dark Rum
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
6 oz. Pineapple Juice
Pour Original Dark Rum, triple sec and pineapple juice into a glass filled with 3/4 ice. Stir well and serve

1 oz. Coconut Crème
1 oz. Orange Juice
1 oz. Cranberry Juice
1 oz. Pineapple Juice

Hot Coffee
Whipped Cream
Pour Whaler's Vanillé Rum and coffee flavor liqueur into a cup. Fill the rest of the cup with coffee. Top with whipped cream and enjoy.

1 oz. Passion Fruit Juice
